Whilst food sources are often the best way to get your vitamins and minerals, the reality is that we don’t always eat all of the things mentioned in this article – or not enough of them. Eating a large variety of fruit and veg is a good start but for many of these nutrients you also need to eat nuts, seeds, animal products (dairy, meat). Selenium is often deficient in NZ soils, so may be less available through food. If a man’s diet is lacking the foods mentioned in the article, then it would probably be a good idea to use a supplement to boost levels. Or if the diet is good but fertility is still low, perhaps trying a supplement as well could be beneficial. Kind regards, HealthPost
